Support period
We support former releases and deprecated API or components for up to six months, which entails:
Fixing issues and bugs in existing components.
Anyone can submit an issue in GitHub.
Supporting customers migrating to a major version update.
We have developed automated tools and written migration guides to facilitate the migration of projects.
What is not included
New feature or update requests.
Requests can still be sent, but they will be provided in the next major version, unless the component is deprecated and to be removed.
New variants of existing components.
After the support period
Contentful will not deactivate any API elements or published packages, so we would not expect any sudden failure of any apps that use former versions.
We will not be able to release bug fixes or updates for former versions. This means that, to resolve any issues that arise, users may need to update to the latest major version they can support.
